Great first episode of 2010. We’ve got a lot of new production upgrades to LPTV. Stay tuned for onward and upward.
We had a great big Christmas show this week with Kermit Ruffins leading us in a Christmas carol, lots of eggnog, and some great guests. It was a grand season finale to season 1 of LPTV. Happy New Year,
This was the hip-hop episode of LPTV. We had Ben from Hip Hop for Hope and Aaron from Groovescapes on. Then Lil’ Doogie showed up with Ballzack. He’s got a hot new iPhone app and is already killing it.
We did the show live from Voodoo yesterday by borrowing wifi from Microsoft Windows 7 tent. TribeCon was Thursday, and so we had a bunch of great folks in town. Andrew Hyde was on along with Big Sam & My Name is John Micheal.
Lots of fun. Audio quality isn’t great due to Biz Markie spinning in the background.
We had a great show today with a lot of folks stopping by the Launch Pad studio. Wes McWhorter came by to talk about AIGA Design Summit. Tritico dropped in to announce that our SXSW Panel “Uprising Tide” was accepted which is something everyone is very excited about. We had the all time greatest Larimer on the Lam with him on Matt Candler’s electric motorcycle. And Liz Money hosted the NewOrleansTech segment live in Launch Pad. We even had a fake Ben Reece appearance by Will Donaldson.
We had Gerard Cox of Creole on to talk about the Declaration of Innovation project we put together for President Obama’s visit to New Orleans. Chris Van Buskirk & Orin Dodge of Calliope Digital were on to talk about their new iPhone app Who Dat App for the Saints.
Capital is like fuel for startups. Raising capital can be the most difficult but most important thing an entrepreneur does. Join us as we demystify the process of raising capital. The panel will cover funding options from angel, VC to debt. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from experts and jump start your own fundraising.

Larimer on the Lam was live from NOLA Brewing where Kirk Coco launched his new beer Hopitoulas IPA which looked like it tastes great. Tiffany Starnes kicked off the Team Starnes vs. Team Schultz competition for TribeCon. And we premiered a segment with Chris Boudy from NewOrleansTech who did a fantastic tech report on Jodia, Schedulist and the new Palm App store.
We had Brian Oberkirch, managing director of Blinksale on the show today. He spoke about his upcoming talk at TribeCon. Tucker Crawford was on talking about the growth of South Coast Solar, the powerful incentives for solar and environmental impact.
